We are seeking a skilled HDPE Fusion Technician to join our team (training is available). The job will require someone who is able to follow the precise steps of HDPE pipe fusion while understanding, and operating specific HDPE fusion machines, including hydraulic machines (large diameter pipe), mechanical machines (small diameter pipe), electrofusion processes and datalogger usage. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of the set-up, lay-out and installation of piping systems on a jobsite. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can ensuring that all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards. The ability to read blueprints/layout drawings is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and set-up HDPE pipe fusion staging areas with piping contractor.
• Coordinate and interact with installation crews and heavy machine operators to complete the HDPE fusion for complete HDPE pipe installation.
• Assist pipe installation crew with reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics to determine best layout and HDPE pipe installation procedures.
• Operate a variety of HDPE fusion machines and equipment for accurate and precise HDPE pipe fusion.
• Utilize hand tools (scrappers, etc), power tools (chainsaws, etc) and equipment effectively to complete tasks efficiently.
• Employ basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and material estimates.

Experience

• Previous and proven experience as a HDPE Pipe Fusion Technician or similar role would be preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience with mechanical (diesel) machines.
• Familiarity with safety regulations related to pipelines and open jobsites and pipe installations is essential.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills.
• Previous experience reading blueprints and schematics is highly desirable.
