Peace River School Division requires for the 2024-2025 school year aFull-Time Math/Science Teacher atPaul Rowe Jr/Sr. High School Manning, Alberta Paul Rowe High is located in the town of Manning, a small farming community situated in northern Alberta about 100 kms northwest of Peace River. The school serves students from grades 7-12 and offers a wide variety of programming to support student learning. One Full-Time (1.00 f.t.e.) Math/Science Teacher is required commencing on August 28, 2024. Initial teaching assignment will be junior/senior math and sciences and other option courses. Qualifications: Experience and/or training in teaching senior level grades. Excellent communications skills with students, staff and parents. Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and educational assistants to ensure student success. Proven ability to differentiate lessons to support students’ achievement. Strong classroom management skills. A keen understanding of assessment practices. The ability to use technology to support learning in the classroom. Requirements: Must hold or be eligible for a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate. Provide an acceptance current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check.
