Webtree Academy
Webtree Academy is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and qualified Business Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong business background, a passion for teaching, and the ability to effectively deliver the Ontario Curriculum in various business subjects. The teacher will be responsible for instructing high school students in courses such as International Business, Accounting, Marketing, Economics, Business Law, and Human Resources. Experience teaching AP Micro or Macro Economics is an asset. The ability to prepare students for the DECA competition is also highly preferred.
Responsibilities
• Teach Ontario Curriculum Courses: Deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons in International Business, Accounting, Marketing, Economics, Business Law, and Human Resources to high school students.
• AP Economics: Teach AP Micro and/or Macro Economics courses (if applicable), preparing students for college-level economics exams.
• DECA Competition Training: Provide mentorship and guidance to students preparing for the DECA business competitions, fostering skills in business, marketing, and entrepreneurship.
• Create Lesson Plans and Assessments: Develop effective lesson plans, projects, and assessments aligned with the Ontario curriculum and school standards.
• Engage Students: Utilize innovative teaching methods to encourage student participation, critical thinking, and practical application of business concepts.
• Communication: Maintain clear and open communication with students, parents, and faculty to ensure a positive learning experience.
• Professional Development: Stay current on business education trends, teaching methods, and the Ontario curriculum.
Qualifications
• A Business Degree (required)
• 3-5 years of teaching experience in business education (required)
• Curriculum Knowledge: Ability to teach Ontario curriculum courses in International Business, Accounting, Marketing, Economics, Business Law, and Human Resources (required)
• AP Economics: Ability to teach AP Micro or Macro Economics is an asset
• Teaching Style: Enthusiastic, motivated, and passionate about teaching business
• subjects to high school students
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal

• Language Proficiency: Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher
