Job Duties:

Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to adult learners in accounting and bookkeeping.

Assess student performance through assignments, tests, and practical exercises to ensure mastery of accounting concepts.

Integrate modern accounting software, including SAGE 50 and Microsoft Excel, into lessons for hands-on learning.

Provide individualized support and feedback to students to enhance their understanding of financial statements and accounting cycles.

Maintain accurate records of student attendance, participation, and progress while fostering an inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAGE 50 accounting software.

Ability to effectively communicate and instruct students in both English and French.

Excellent organizational skills to plan and manage lessons efficiently.

Previous teaching or training experience in an educational or professional setting is preferred.
Qualifications:

DEP, post-secondary diploma, or equivalent experience in accounting or finance.

At least one year of relevant professional experience in accounting or bookkeeping.

Familiarity with vocational education and adult learning methodologies.

Average Salary:
The salary for this position varies based on experience and schedule but typically ranges from $25 to $40 per hour depending on qualifications and teaching load.
