Class 1 Professional Driver – Local & CAN/USA – Live Entertainment experience an asset but will train

We are looking for an energetic Professional driver with Class 1/Air without restrictions, who thrives in a demanding fast-paced environment to meet strict deadlines, enjoys challenges and is a team player.

This is not your average trucking job, you will work hard and will experience plenty of (paid) downtime but you will get into a rhythm and rock this job if are serious, dedicated and willing to learn.

Responsibilities


Transporting equipment for Concerts and Festivals to various venues throughout Canada and USA (primarily, but not limited to, western states). Timelines are critical, so experience with night driving all types of road & weather conditions is a definite asset.

When not OTR, you will be working in and around Regional (Alberta) and/or the Calgary area driving tractor with 53′ Dry Van or mobile stage trailers. You will also do occasional P&D in our 5Ton Body-Job with Liftgate or working in the warehouse with prepping for shows or other required tasks.

Qualifications

MUST HAVE:

– Valid Class 1 with Air License (no restrictions) and a Clean Abstract

– Minimum 3 Years verifiable commercial truck driving experience for City & Highway throughout North America

– Must be able to pass Pre-Hire & Random DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing

– Police Clearance

– Strong knowledge of Transportation functions including Cross-Border – FAST Card preferred

– Excellent backing skills and navigating in tight spaces

– Must be comfortable with driving at night and through inclement weather to meet strict deadlines

– Geographically knowledgeable an asset

– Excellent communication skills and must speak, read, write fluent English. (French & Spanish an asset but not required)

– Self-motivated with great organizational and people skills

– Professional appearance, excellent attitude and willingness to learn

– Experience in Live Entertainment Industry a definite asset
