Centre for Autism Services Alberta is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of children, teens, and young adults with autism.
About the Position
This part-time opportunity will see you work as a Speech-Language Pathologist, providing communication programs in the classroom. You’ll address speech, social communication, language, and play skills, offering both individual and group interventions.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, plan, and implement effective communication programs in a classroom setting.
• Address speech, social communication, language, and play skills through individual and group interventions.
• Contribute to staff training, family support, and community outreach.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology and registration with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
• Knowledge of Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Interventions (NDBI) and other autism-specific strategies.
• Experience providing consultation in various settings, including home, community, and school.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Crisis assessment and intervention skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Valid certification in Child and Infant CPR and First Aid.
