About the role
We are seeking an SAP Basis Administrator who will lead the technology transformation initiatives and serve as a key technical resource within the Lockheed Martin SAP Canada team. This will include supporting the database migration from MS SQL to HANA and the drive to S/4 in the coming years. In addition the resource will be supporting day to day operations including managing system accounts, performance tuning, daily monitoring activities and troubleshooting incidents.
What you bring to the role
• 10+ years of Basis experience
• 2+ years of experience with HANA
• Strong knowledge and experience with SAP systems running Windows, RHEL, MS SQL
• Experience defining SAP Backup and Recovery solution
• Daily monitoring and incident management experience, such as work process monitoring, checking logs, managing background jobs, implementing OSS notes
• Experience performing client copies, system copies and system refreshes
• Experience patching and upgrading SAP
• One full lifecycle project performing a OS/DB migration to SAP HANA
• Strong communication skills in English
Additional skills desired for the role
• SAP Basis certification
• Experience with ABAP and JAVA stack systems
• Experience with Enterprise Portal
• Experience with supporting SAP security functions
• Experience in designing system landscape with cloud architecture
• Nice to have experience migrating to SAP RISE
• Experience deploying and managing Fiori in an embedded architecture
Language Requirements in Quebec
Knowledge of the English language is required for this role as the position described in this posting requires the candidate to communicate every day with a virtual team outside Quebec as well as communicate with different members of the organization, clients and suppliers located outside of Canada. For engineering positions, the candidate must also be able to read or modify technical documents from our main clients and write technical documents for these same clients.
