Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Optical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and assisting with various optical tasks in a dynamic environment.
Duties:
– Assist customers in selecting eyewear that suits their needs and style preferences
– Conduct preliminary testing using optical equipment
– Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
– Support optometrists and opticians in daily operations
– Educate customers on proper eyewear care and maintenance
Skills:
– Proficiency in medical terminology related to optometry
– Experience in retail management or sales, particularly in the optical industry
– Knowledge of optical laboratory procedures
– Familiarity with Epic or similar electronic health record systems
– Strong background in retail sales with a focus on optical products
– Understanding of basic optical concepts and lens types
Requirements:
– minimum 6 months in the industry
– must provide references on resume

Pay: $17.00-$21.00 per hour
