UTemp connects the University of Toronto with skilled short-term staff to fill casual roles lasting less than six months. We take a personalized approach to match the right candidate with each position, aiming to build strong, lasting professional relationships. Our candidates typically fill roles in areas such as Student Services, Finance & Accounting, Administration (e.g., Receptionist, Executive Assistant), IT, Event Coordination, Marketing, and Communications.
UTemp positions vary in length, ranging from a few hours to contracts under six months, depending on current university needs.
General Requirements
Experience & Skills

Minimum of three years of relevant work experience.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Familiarity with University of Toronto systems like Quercus, Rosi, SAP, FIS, and HRIS is a plus. Experience with similar systems at other educational institutions is also beneficial.

Experience working in post-secondary institutions, government, or non-profit sectors is advantageous.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Quick learner able to work with minimal supervision.

Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

Flexible, proactive, and innovative with a commitment to teamwork and public service.

Able to work independently on complex projects for extended periods.
Education

College diploma or university degree.
