UTemp connects the University of Toronto with skilled short-term staff to fill casual roles lasting less than six months. We take a personalized approach to match the right candidate with each position, aiming to build strong, lasting professional relationships. Our candidates typically fill roles in areas such as Student Services, Finance & Accounting, Administration (e.g., Receptionist, Executive Assistant), IT, Event Coordination, Marketing, and Communications.

UTemp positions vary in length, ranging from a few hours to contracts under six months, depending on current university needs.


General Requirements

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum of three years of relevant work experience.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Familiarity with University of Toronto systems like Quercus, Rosi, SAP, FIS, and HRIS is a plus. Experience with similar systems at other educational institutions is also beneficial.

  • Experience working in post-secondary institutions, government, or non-profit sectors is advantageous.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Quick learner able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

  • Flexible, proactive, and innovative with a commitment to teamwork and public service.

  • Able to work independently on complex projects for extended periods.

Education

  • College diploma or university degree.
