Job Description:

We seek qualified part-time teaching faculty members to join the School of Education and Leadership Master of Education Program in Calgary, AB.
Part-time Teaching Faculty at City University of Seattle has three key responsibilities:
• Striving for excellence in teaching and learning,
• Fostering student development, and
• Maintaining currency in their profession.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below represent the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
• Master’s degree in education, leadership, or related fields. Doctoral degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in the K-12 school system.
• Teaching experience desired.
• Skills in addressing student academic-related issues and concerns in support of retention and student success.
• Culturally competent to serve a diverse student and faculty body.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to provide a learning experience that links application with formal learning and adult learning theory.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented system and deal effectively with professional staff, faculty, and culturally diverse students.
• Ability to present a professional image for the school and City University of Seattle.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and learning management systems in support of quality teaching and learning.

Salary Information:
The Part-time Teaching Faculty salary is based on course level and the number of course credits.
