Job Summary & Key Responsibilities
Under the guidance of the Course Professor the Instructor will precept and evaluate up to six students in each of three fieldwork placements ( OCCU 6111, OCCU 6222, and OCCU 5222) at the Newcomer Health Clinic in Halifax. The Instructor will be required to attend on-site, community-based, and online sessions as well as provide documentation support for students(up to 11 hours per week for 26 weeks). The Instructor will oversee and hold responsibility for students’ provision of occupational therapy services.
Qualifications/Requirements Of Position
Excellent communication, organizational skills, and scheduling flexibility is critical. Must hold an entry-to-practice qualification in occupational therapy. A Master’s degree is preferred. Current registration as a licensed occupational therapist, access to a vehicle and cell phone are required.
Salary Range/Pay Rate Per CUPE Collective Agreement
