Position Summary

The Hotel Houseperson plays a vital role in maintaining an exceptionally clean and inviting environment for our hotel guests under the general direction of the Housekeeping Manager. They respond to specific room supply requests in a timely manner while adhering to policies, procedures, quality standards, and services established by the management team.

Main Responsibilities:

• Maintain the cleanliness of guest floors and linen areas, including daily vacuuming of guest hallways.
• Ensure laundry for cleaning supplies is done on an assigned basis.
• Report any damage or maintenance issues in public areas promptly.
• Respond to guest inquiries in a courteous and welcoming manner.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely, following all standard operating procedures.
• Deliver linens, cots, and extra supplies to guest rooms upon request.
• Maintain linen closets in a clean, stocked, and organized state.
• Ensure inventory of guest room products is stocked for room attendant carts.
• Remove items from hallways and transport them to service areas, including debris, food and beverage trays, soiled linens, and trash.
• Comply with health and safety protocols to maintain a safe and healthy environment.

Requirements:

• Previous cleaning experience is required, with a preference for hotel environments.
• Customer service experience is mandatory.
• The ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight (minimum of 11.5 kg or 25 lbs) is necessary.
• Multitasking skills are essential.
• Effective communication is a must.
• The ability to operate basic cleaning equipment and laundry machines is required.
• A safety mindset for self and others is crucial.
• Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset but not required.

Work Environment Considerations:

• This position operates within a 24/7 environment and requires flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
