Part-Time School Custodian – Evening Shift
Renert School is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented individual to join our dedicated custodial team as a Part-Time School Custodian. As a key member of our operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our students and staff. This position requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively during the evening shift.
Responsibilities:
• Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming classrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Thoroughly clean, sanitize, and disinfect washroom facilities to maintain exceptional hygiene standards.
• Properly utilize and store a variety of cleaning chemicals and equipment in strict adherence to safety guidelines.
• Identify and promptly report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Operations Manager to ensure a safe environment for all.
• Operate and maintain custodial equipment responsibly and securely.
• Manage laundry duties, including washing and maintaining cleaning cloths and mop heads.
• Assist with additional cleaning tasks and other duties as assigned to uphold the overall cleanliness of the school.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in commercial cleaning or a closely related field.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to achieving and maintaining high cleaning standards.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with excellent reliability in completing all assigned tasks.
• Must possess reliable personal transportation.
• Strong verbal communication skills in English.
• Availability to work the consistent evening shift: 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
• Physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, kneel, and perform physically demanding tasks on a regular basis.
Physical Requirements:
This is a physically active role requiring endurance and agility to perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the evening shift. Candidates must be comfortable with the physical demands of the position and enjoy an active work environment.
