Job Summary
As an Investor Services Operations Associate, you will be responsible for accurately completing assigned financial and non-financial transactions within regulatory and internal standards. You will also assist other RBC IS teams in resolving client issues to enhance client satisfaction and ensure smooth operational delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Pre-screen, prepare, and input financial transactions such as account setup, redemptions, purchases, switches, non-complex NIGOs, direct trade, wire order placement, and settlement by standard cut-off times

Monitor and clear workflow items within SLA timelines
-
Apply quality control procedures and conduct daily trade reconciliations and settlements

Process daily deposits and cheque handling

Monitor accounts for unusual activity and communicate accordingly

Audit transactions, recommend process improvements, and provide feedback to reduce errors

Collaborate with managers to update Desk Operating Procedures and complete assigned tasks

Utilize strong technical and analytical skills to run and debug applications and macros
Qualifications & Skills
Must-Have:
-
Experience in Shareholder Services or a similar multi-client mutual fund administration environment
-
Good knowledge of financial services industry, particularly mutual fund and segregated fund administration
-
Understanding of mutual fund and segregated fund taxation, compliance, and regulation, including registered products
-
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
-
Strong customer service and communication skills
-
Intermediate computer literacy, including MS Office and experience with applications/macros
-
Flexibility to work overtime during peak periods (e.g., RRSP season, month-end, year-end)
Nice-to-Have:
-
Leadership experience managing cross-functional relationships and initiatives
-
Completion of IFIC Mutual Funds Operations Course
-
Familiarity with Unitrax Recordkeeping System and FundSERV
-
French language proficiency (reading/writing)
