Role Description

This is a part-time contract role for an Intermediate Flutter Developer. The developer will be responsible for building and maintaining high-quality mobile applications using the Flutter framework, managing and maintaining third party integrations, and working with or providing robust automated testing tools.

Day-to-day tasks include coding, debugging, and optimizing mobile features to ensure smooth performance. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, such as UI/UX designers and backend developers, is also required to integrate functionalities and deliver user-centric solutions. The role is hybrid and located in Calgary, AB.

This is part-time contract role only. Only Canadian applicants will be considered. Calgary-based is ideal but would consider candidates across Alberta.

The expectation as part-time here would be 20 hours a week. Successful applicants will report directly to the CTO.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in developing in the Flutter framework
• At least 3 years of experience in developing and delivering high-quality mobile applications
• At least 1-2 years of experience working with and implementing software projects using AI
• Experience in back-end web development, specifically in Node.js
• Experience working on agile teams and biweekly sprints
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
• Willing to come into our downtown working space one or two times a week as necessary (not on a schedule)
• Ability to manage time and tasks efficiently in a part-time, contract setting
• Experience working with Flutter or similar frameworks
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Exceptionally strong English and communication skills as a whole
