Key Responsibilities:

• Define and Execute Engineering Roadmaps: Collaborate with founders and leadership teams to create and implement engineering roadmaps that align with the company’s vision and goals.
• Team Leadership and Development: Lead the hiring process, mentor technical teams, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Long-term Technology Strategy: Develop and maintain a long-term technology strategy that supports business growth, scalability, and competitive advantage.
• Software Architecture Design: Design and oversee robust, scalable, and secure software architectures that meet the needs of the business and its customers.
• Project Feasibility and Risk Assessment: Evaluate the feasibility of new projects and technologies, identifying potential risks and opportunities for the business.
• Outsourcing and Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring that outsourced development projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
• Budgeting and Financial Planning: Work closely with finance teams to manage technology budgets and ensure that resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.
• Product Management Oversight: Collaborate with product teams to ensure that technology initiatives are aligned with business objectives and product roadmaps.
• Regulatory Compliance and Security: Ensure that all technology solutions comply with relevant industry regulations and security standards.
• Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and best practices, continuously seeking ways to improve technology processes and outcomes.
• Client and Stakeholder Communication: Act as the main point of contact for technical discussions with clients and stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication.

Qualifications:

• Extensive CTO Experience: 7+ years of experience, including in a CTO role, CTO consultancy, or similar leadership position within the technology space.
• Proven Remote Work Capabilities: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote environment, using tools such as Slack, Zoom, Jira, and other remote collaboration platforms.
• Strategic Vision: Strong ability to align technology strategies with business goals, focusing on driving innovation and competitive advantage.
• Leadership and Mentorship: Experience in leading and developing high-performing technical teams, focusing on fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of software development, engineering management, and technology strategy across various industries and platforms.
• Vendor Management Skills: Experience managing relationships with third-party vendors and outsourced teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation in a technology context.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with industry regulations and best practices related to data security, privacy, and compliance.
• Client-Focused: Ability to integrate seamlessly into client teams, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to startup founders and business leaders.
