Reports To: Chief Development Officer and Designates

Salary Range: $62,500 – $73,500

The Health Sciences Centre Foundation rallies individual, corporate, and institutional donors in support of HSC Winnipeg—Manitoba’s hospital. Job Summary

The Event Communications Officer, reporting to the Chief Development Officer and their designates, will address selected marketing and communications needs for various Foundation initiatives, including:
• Savour: Wine & Food Experience gala
• Innovation HSC Radiothon
• Bannatyne Legacy Circle luncheon
• Donor appreciation events
• Tri-Hospital Lottery
• HSC Millionaire Lottery
• Payroll 50/50 program

Additionally, the role involves supporting media events and other marketing, communications, and special initiatives as needed.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Produce partnership/sponsorship packages for Savour: Wine & Food Experience and for the Innovation HSC Radiothon
• Produce the event program booklet for Savour: Wine & Food Experience, including sourcing advertising art and files from partners
• Produce all event signage and other collateral material for Savour: Wine & Food Experience
• Identify and schedule live and recorded guests for the Innovation HSC Radiothon
• Equip radio hosts with story backgrounds and information for the Innovation HSC Radiothon
• Provide a wide range of communications and marketing support to the Tri-Hospital Lottery and the HSC Millionaire Lottery, including organizing media interviews
• Provide marketing and communications support to the Payroll 50/50 program
• Support media events and announcements as required
• Other duties as assigned

• Ability to handle sensitive subject matter with tact and diplomacy

• A commitment to continuous improvement

Education & Experience
• 2–4 years of experience in an events, logistics, marketing, or communications role
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud an asset
• Communications, public relations, journalism, or marketing degree or diploma an asset

Miscellaneous
• Some evening and weekend work is required
• Access to a vehicle is considered an asset
• Writing samples will be required as part of the application process
