We’re looking for a Commercial Outside Sales Representative in the construction sector!
• **MUST HAVE EXPERTISE WITH BIDS, RFP RESPONSES, DESIGN SPECS, BLUEPRINTS AND OTHER RELATED DOCUMENTATION ***

Reporting to the Winnipeg Branch GM, this role is responsible for managing bid/tender responses, design-build projects, and commercial customer opportunities in the Manitoba territory. This role is perfect for someone who excels at identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will leverage our client’s technical expertise to drive sales and ensure the successful execution of projects. You will be highly motivated, detail oriented, and passionate about achieving success, all while maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal teams.

Commercial Outside Sales Representative responsibilities:
• Estimate Preparation: Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to develop detailed time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Client & Industry Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with Architects, Engineers, and Design-Build Consultants.
• Business Development: Identify and communicate new business opportunities and market intelligence.
• Event Participation: Attend industry and customer events, hosting and entertaining top prospects and clients.
• Quotation & Negotiation: Create detailed, thoughtful quotes based on customer requests.
• Sales Execution: Secure, close, and book incoming business opportunities.
• Project Documentation: Develop submittal and shop drawings for review and approval.

The successful candidate has:
• Minimum three years of experience in commercial estimating, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
• Background in Business, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or Construction Management is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and tender documents. Strong analytical skills to assess scope of work and project requirements.
• Proven track record in sales, with a self-motivated, disciplined, and organized approach.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Compensation and benefits:
• The discussed salary range is 70,000 – $85,000 plus performance-based commission structure. The expected 1st year on target earnings is roughly $100,000.
